6 Ways to Let Go of the Past and Not be Controlled by It

controlledimage1

“Everybody’s got a past. The past does not equal the truth unless you live there.” ~ Tony Robbins

Most of us know by now that holding on to the past does us no good. Can we change the past? No. Is reliving a past situation over and over in our minds ever going to make the past different? No. So why is it that so many of us spend time mulling over past situations?

It’s as if our mind believes if we keep thinking about it over and over, somehow we will have a magical thought or revelation that will suddenly make us feel better about what happened. And while this may be the case some of the time, often when we use our heads to “think” of the solution vs. letting our heart feel the feelings it needs to in order to move forward from a situation, we notice that the same issues seem to pop back into our life in one form or another.

Major U.S. Retailers Are Closing More Than 6,000 Stores

Galactic Free Press's picture

By Michael Snyder | The Economic Collapse

If the U.S. economy really is improving, then why are big U.S. retailers permanently shutting down thousands of stores?  The “retail apocalypse” that I have written about so frequently appears to be accelerating.  As you will see below, major U.S. retailers have announced that they are closing more than 6,000 locations, but economic conditions in this country are still fairly stable.  So if this is happening already, what are things going to look like once the next recession strikes?  For a long time, I have been pointing to 2015 as a major “turning point” for the U.S. economy, and I still feel that way.  And since I started The Economic Collapse Blog at the end of 2009, I have never seen as many indications that we are headed into another major economic downturn as I do right now.  If retailers are closing this many stores already, what are our malls and shopping centers going to look like a few years from now?

The list below comes from information compiled by About.com, but I have only included major retailers that have announced plans to close at least 10 stores.  Most of these closures will take place this year, but in some instances the closures are scheduled to be phased in over a number of years.  As you can see, the number of stores that are being permanently shut down is absolutely staggering…

Daily Message ~ Wednesday July 15, 2015

Take a moment to check in with your body. Is your abdomen clenched? That is a sure sign of resistance.

Dear Ones, if you are in resistance, you are not in the flow. Not only can you not move forward, you cannot receive while you are in a resistant state. Your body is always giving you helpful feedback!

If you find yourself in resistance, ask yourself where it is coming from. Is it fear? Is it a lack of acceptance? Is it simply your soul indicating something is not a match for you?

Surrendering into the flow for your highest good, and steering that flow by giving feedback to the universe through gratitude, is one of the fastest ways to move back into the empowered movement, abundance, and comfort you seek. ~Archangel Gabriel

Loving From Afar

There will be people in your life that create, maintain and perpetuate chaos because it is the only thing that makes them feel safe.  Derisive words and harmful actions may be directed at you in an attempt to gain a reaction and attention.  Please remember; these are the people that need your love the most.  It is not necessary to stand by their side and participate in their self-destructive pattern to love them….you can do that from a distance.  Sending love to any negative situation is, by far, the best remedy. ~ Creator

Everything You Know About Addiction Is Wrong (TED TALK)

“The first thing that alerted me to the fact that there’s something not right with this story was the fact that, if I step out of this TED talk today and get hit by a car and I break my hip, I’ll be taken to the hospital and be given loads of diamorphin.  Diamorphin is heroin. It is medically pure, better than the stuff you get on the streets. You’ll be given it for quite a long period of time, there are loads of people in this room who may not realize that you’ve taken quite a lot of herion, and if what we believe about addiction is right, those people are exposed to all of those chemical hooks, what should happen? They should become addicts. This has been studied very carefully, it doesn’t happen. You would have noticed if your grandmother had a hip replacement, she didn’t come out as a junkie. When I learned this, it was just so contrary to everything I’ve been taught, to everything I thought I knew.”

How To Listen From The Heart

Listening is an act of love. It is the ebb and flow of giving and receiving energy to your friends, partners, the cosmos, everything. When you relax your mind enough to be in a state of awareness that is listening, processing the data and creating new connections in your brain, that is the process of what we call ascension. It is letting light into your body in the form of information. It is interacting with your DNA.

I’m learning what it means to really listen. Like… REALLY listen. To listen so much that you become an open receptor of the truth. To let Source itself flow through me more than ever before. It happens through your actions, your thought processes and the connections you create.

We are all students of Source, the universe, God, whatever name you put it to – just as it is our student. It is expressing it’s energy as us – to understand the human experience. We all learn from each other, no one is the teacher.

Does Positive Thinking Free Us From the Matrix?

The Matrix Rainbows Frank M. Wanderer, Contributor
Waking Times

On a bleak weekday of your spiritual Journey you arrive home, full of stress and frustration, and open the mailbox. It is, as usual, full of advertisment brochures. You are about to throw them all in the dustbin, but what you read on the cover of one of them raises your attention. You read the following:

Positive thinking makes you happy! Happy, because you can always look at yourself like you are looking at a miracle. Positive thinking is the magnet of happiness. If you think of something, you will start attracting it. If your thoughts are beautiful, you will attract beautiful things, whereas if you are looking at the world pessimistically, your whole life will be a tragedy. Change it, and you will be happy!”

Catch the Sun

God said:

My children can always find something to worry about, yet worry doesn’t have to be a way of life. Forego worry. You don’t have to have it, one worry on top of another. This is not the way to live life.

Life in the world itself has tension in that there is an unevenness that you surmount, sort of the pull of goodness and mercy on one side, and friction on the other.

When you knit a sweater, both needles have a balance of tension. Tension is not meant to be lop-sided. The form of tension that you call worry is uneven tension. Sometimes worry even feels like panic. Fraught with worry, your tension is really askew.

Will you kindly remember that life offers much more than one of two choices? Please remember that tension is a decision you make, a path you choose, a rocky road with pitfalls that you practice on. You rehearse unimagined pitfalls. That’s just it. You do imagine fretful possibilities, and you have good imagination. Beforehand is always imagination.

Worry is not a comfortable state to be in. It is worry itself that is fraught with danger. When you go to a state fair, you have a choice of riding the merry-go-round or the roller coaster or cyclone and other rides in between, or you can also just walk around. Why choose a ride you don’t want?

To me, the brahmin and the untouchable are the same. I don't believe in any castes. I don't believe in any distinctions between people - black and white, Hindu and Mohammedan, Christian and Jew.

And that is creating great turmoil in their minds. What am I doing? It seems blasphemous; it seems that I am betraying their tradition.

I am not betraying their tradition; I am simply destroying it! It needs to be burned, it needs to be thrown to the dogs, this whole tradition.

5 Tips To Help You Relax Now

Fact: There is nothing less relaxing than when someone tells you to “Relax!” They may have the best of intentions, but their less-than-helpful advice sounds more like a stress-inducing command. When we’re anxious, overwhelmed, or stressed, the last thing we need is more pressure to change our state. Here are 5 counter-intuitive strategies to help you cope:

1. Stop trying to relax.

Just notice the tension without trying to change it. How does it feel in your body? Where do you feel it? Take a deep breath and allow yourself to just be. Validate yourself by saying “It’s perfectly fine to feel the way I feel.”

Manifest Your Ultimate Reality & Shake Up Your “Vibrational Comfort Zone” (3 Steps)

by Danielle Fagan, Collective Evolution

If change were convenient, everyone would change their lives. There would be no unhappiness and everyone would be living the life of their dreams. Unfortunately, change doesn’t work that way. It’s often intimidating or downright frightening.

The reason why change is so tough is because it requires us to shift out of our of our vibrational “comfort zone.” This is the spot that we’ve settled into. You’ll know that your “vibrational comfort zone” is a positive one if you’re happy with your life. If you wake up excited to start the day and go to sleep feeling completely fulfilled. If you’re one of these people then this article isn’t for you.

If you don’t wake up positively thrilled to live your life, then that means your comfort zone needs to be shaken up. The only way to do this is to figure out what change you’d like to see in your life and come up with one or two steps that you could take to get you close to that goal.

That’s it.

Simple, but not convenient.

ADHD Meds – The Gateway to Addiction

Michael Whitehouse, Staff Writer
Waking Times

Modern medicine has revolutionized the way we treat disease and illness. Each decade new breakthroughs are made as we continue to unlock our knowledge of the human body, and how to treat its fragility. But what happens when modern medicine identifies normal human characteristics as disorders, or misdiagnoses an existing condition? The result is startling: Prescribing drugs to individuals who don’t need them, in many cases creating a downward spiral of addiction and dependency. Researchers are now suggesting that this may be the case with the millions of people being diagnosed with ADHD.

ADHD: A Case of Misdiagnosis?

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) – a psychiatric disorder which includes symptoms such as impulsive behavior and poor attention skills – has always been controversial. Some experts contend that ADHD is not even a disease, while others argue that it is much rarer than thought and that many people are being misdiagnosed as suffering from it. Regardless, the rate of diagnosis has increased markedly from 2003 onwards.

Researchers Confirm They Have Discovered The Largest Pyramid In Mexico

Researchers in Mexico have discovered an immense pyramid, even larger that Teotihuacan’s Pyramid of the Sun. It’s 75 meters in height and was explored by specialists from the National Institute of Anthropology and History. It is located in the acropolis of Tonina, Chiapas and is likely around 1,700 years old.

The director of the archaeological zone, Emiliano Gallaga, says that the work, done over the course of two years, verified that the northeastern portion of the site was, indeed, the largest pyramid in Mexico. It is comparable to pyramids found in Tikal and El Mirador of the Mayan civilization.

One unique feature is the seven platforms that serve as palaces, temples, housing, and what were essentially administrating offices. This unique structure functioned within social, religious, and political cultural structure.

Did Quantum Mechanics Just Prove the Existence of God?

Quantum mechanics has potentially put an end to one of the most widely adopted atheistic view of Earth – materialism. Therefore in an indirect way it has brought forth the supreme deity ideology, which was wholly rejected by most scientists, back into the frame of science.

In materialism, the material world was seen as a closed system operating on an intricate relationship between cause and effect. It was supported by the physical laws that had cemented their place in the scientific method since Newtonian times. With all the internal dependence and mathematical correlations, it was assumed that the material entities behaved irrespective of outside influence. That a material thing exists without any prerequisites.

However, the advent of quantum mechanics threw a wrench into this seemingly irrefutable notion of the world. It did so by taking matter from being made up of tiny blocks of atoms to be consisting of a wave of possibilities. You see, what quantum mechanics did was take the ingredients of matter from being the physicality of an atom to the unpredictability of its sub particles. Therefore an atom was the manifestation of the state its transient sub particles, electrons and quarks, were in. Thus essentially rendering the idea of a physical, unchanging matter archaic.

Veterans Continue The Battle — Only This Time, With Their Own Government

By Carolanne Wright
Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

Veterans in the U.S. are discovering the fight for freedom and liberty is far from over once their tour of duty is completed. In repayment for risking their lives — as well as mental well-being — veterans are facing increasing rates of inadequate medical and psychological care, homelessness and poverty. Some are taking matters into their own hands — and finding how truly limited and distorted personal liberties are in America.

Off-Grid, Eco-Friendly, Debt-Free

Tyler Truitt knows firsthand about hypocrisy in “The Land of the Free.” Last January, the 27-year-old Marine Corps veteran, and his girlfriend Soraya, decided to create a sustainable and self-sufficient lifestyle in Huntsville, Alabama. He brought in a 550-gallon rainwater storage tank and solar panels. Next came the composting toilet, which was installed within their single-wide manufactured home. The structure has a propane water heater as well as a propane grill for cooking.
