The Vibration of Light

by Ted Slipchinsky

"At the same time, I understood that at the core, our essence is made of pure love. We are pure love—every single one of us. How can we not be, if we come from the Whole and return to it? I knew that realizing this meant never being afraid of who we are. Therefore, being love and being our true self is one and the same thing!" ~ Anita Moorjani from Dying To Be Me

Sometimes I think people can get caught up in metaphysical concepts and end up coming to the conclusion that we live in a kind of Nihilistic universe where nothing has value. Yet the best teachers, both within the body and without, are always trying to help us: to be more accepting of ourselves, more compassionate, more creative, more peaceful, and live more meaningful lives. If nothing had value, why do beings as advanced as these even bother? Why intervene in our lives at all and why take a position on such matters as self-love, loving others, or living more joyful lives?

In my opinion, if one looks more deeply into this, one finds that indeed the teachers do speak of what, for lack of better words, I would call "intrinsic value." Now you don't have to accept dualistic concepts such as "right and wrong," or "good and evil" to affirm intrinsic value.

mcdonalds-franchise-owners-confirm-fast-food-giant-facing-its-final-days

Embattled fast food giant McDonald’s is making headlines yet again. The company has just launched its much advertised all-day breakfast program, but as that campaign rolls out, franchise owners are voicing their concerns over what may be the company’s dying days.

As we covered at Anti-Media in June, the McDonald’s franchise has been shrinking for the first time in the company’s over 40 year history:

UN to call on governments around the world to decriminalise all drugs, says Richard Branson

The British entrepreneur appears to have released details of an embargoed UN report - in case they change their minds

The UN may be about to call on the governments of all countries to end the "war on drugs" and decriminalise the use and possession of all illegal substances.

In an extraordinary post on his Virgin website, Richard Branson said he had been showed a report by the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) which dramatically changed the organisation's stance on drug control.

He said the "as-yet unreleased statement" had been sent to some of the world's media under embargo - but that he has gone public with it early for fear the UN will "bow to pressure by not going ahead with this important move".

U.S. The Only Country To Oppose UN Holding Israel Accountable For War Crimes, Yet Again

Source: www.wearechange.org | Original Post Date: October 17, 2015 –

The US was the only country in the world to oppose a resolution calling for Israel to be held accountable for war crimes, at the 29th regular session of the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC), held from 15 June to 3 July 2015.

The US voted against “ensuring accountability and justice for all violations of international law in” the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT).

41 nations voted for the measure, including Germany, France, Japan, Brazil, China, and more. Just five nations abstained—the most high-profile of which was India, which is presently run by a right-wing Hindu nationalist government that spends billions on Israeli weapons.

Homeless enjoy meal of a lifetime after couple call off wedding

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — After a California couple called off their wedding, the bride-to-be’s family decided to turn the extravagant, $35,000  event into a feast for the homeless.

The bride’s mother, Kari Duane, said Sunday that rather than cancel the reception, they invited Sacramento’s homeless for a once-in-a-lifetime meal Saturday at the Citizen Hotel, one of the city’s finest venues.

Duane said her 27-year-old daughter called her Monday to tell her she and her fiance had decided not go through with the wedding. Soon after, the family decided to share the nonrefundable event with the less fortunate.

“Even though my husband and I were feeling very sad for our daughter, it was heartwarming to see so many people be there and enjoy a meal,” Duane said.

Who’s In Charge?

A gentle reminder; you are the one in charge of your growth and healing, you are in charge of your perceptions and emotions.  If you choose to say, “You are making me feel ____” or “You are doing ____ to me”, you are relinquishing your power.  You are solely responsible for who you are in any given moment.  Once you grasp this concept, things will become easier.  As always, free will is yours. ~ Creator

Your Heart Knows the Unknown

God said:

I favor the heart whereas the world has favored the mind. I don’t disfavor the mind. The only thing is that the intellect generally tends to be seen as smarter than the heart.

Sometimes I see the mind as a saber or scimitar that slices through life right and left. Or I see the mind as a knife that shaves off the meat of the heart, whittles it down to the bone, as if the heart is too fat and needs to be trimmed down. The mind seems to like to think that the heart is a ruffian, wild and uncouth, more like an unruly teen-ager who feeds on emotion.

The modern mind has too often played down the heart as if the heart doesn’t know better or doesn't know anything at all.

Consider that the mind makes up its mind. The thing is that the mind knows only its own reasoning. The prudent mind knows limits and the past and what is already known. The mind sees the heart as rudderless. The mind overlooks that the heart is an ace when it comes to the Unknown.

We could say that the mind uses numbers while the heart uses feelings. The mind explains. The heart listens. The mind is filled with many thoughts. The heart looks beneath the surface. The heart surprises itself.

Make room for the heart. The heart has been given a reputation as unthinking, uneducated. Hello, the heart is an adventurer.

The mind has been a refuter. The mind readily says No. The mind is propped up by applause while the world too often tends to put down the heart and tell it to be quiet.

I am all for science. My religion is not against science; my religion absorbs science in itself. I believe in a scientific world. And through science a great religion, a greater religion than ever, is going to happen to man, because when man will be really free to be playful and there will be no need to work, tremendous creativity will be released. People will paint, and people will play music, and people will dance, and people will write poems, and people will pray, and people will meditate. Their whole energy will be free to soar high.

Only a small part of humanity has been creative, because all the other people have been forced to do futile things which can be done by machines more easily and without any trouble to anybody.

Millions of people are simply laboring their whole lives. Their whole lives consist only of perspiration, there is no inspiration. This is ugly, this should not be.

And this is possible only for the first time. Just think... the whole of humanity freed from the imprisonment of labor, then the energy will start moving in new directions. People will become adventurers, explorers, scientists, musicians, poets, painters, dancers, meditators. They will have to because the energy will need some expression. Millions of people can bloom like Buddhas.

I am tremendously hopeful about the future.

Day 151 Smile Awhile

SMILE AWHILE   Today we have a simple exercise for you. It is called “smile.”

If you are reading this in the morning, then we ask that when you go out today, smile and nod a greeting to everyone you meet, making brief eye contact when possible.

If you will not be going outside today, send smiles telepathically to the people you find yourself thinking about, especially those you may be having any problems with. Consider taking a few moments to go through your address book and send a brief smile to at least twenty people.

If you are reading this in the evening, then make a note to yourself to remember to smile at everyone you encounter tomorrow. Make smiling a habit. It is a great physical, mental, emotional and spiritual exercise!   Selamet! Chuen 8

Dream Sanctuary: the Role of Recurring Settings in Dreams

dream sanctuary

My previous article regarding dreams and how they’ve influenced my life started the same way I’d like to start this one: It has been an age-old debate as to what exactly dreams are. Many questions have arisen on the topic, and dreams are filled with so much speculative history that it has become a concept of wondrous intrigue. Throughout documented time, dreams have been revered, feared, judged, and interpreted. Entire careers have been created for the purpose of understanding dreams, and entire lives have been spent driven toward answering the question: what are dreams and how can they help us? This article is not meant to answer these questions specifically, but to shed light on one aspect of our dreamscape which I have personally studied in depth: our dream sanctuary.

Study reveals how mind-body medicine could cut health care costs

Relaxation-response techniques, such as meditation, yoga, and prayer, could reduce the need for health care services by 43 percent, according to a study at Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) that looked at participants in a relaxation-response-focused training program.

Previous studies have shown that eliciting the relaxation response — a physiologic state of deep rest — not only relieves stress and anxiety, but also affects physiologic factors such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen consumption.

The paper’s authors noted that stress-related illnesses, such as anxiety and depression, are the third-highest causes of health expenditures in the United States after heart disease and cancer (which also are affected by stress).

The study, based at MGH’s Institute for Technology Assessment and the Benson-Henry Institute (BHI) for Mind Body Medicine, found that individuals in the relaxation-response program used fewer health care services in the year after their participation than in the preceding year.

Your Oneness will arise in all its glory and magnificence to amaze and delight you.

Most of you have a problem with the truth that All are One.  As separated humans, individuals in your own separate bodies, it is very difficult for you to conceive of being one with someone you dislike, let alone with someone who is generally recognized as a criminal or as an oppressive dictator.  But those are just illusory aspects of yourself that resulted from the attempted separation from your divine Source.  When you awaken, as you inevitably will because it is both your will and God’s, your Oneness will arise in all its glory and magnificence to amaze and delight you.

Your various earthly cultures and ethnicities have very complex and exacting standards of behavior to which you are taught to conform as you grow from infancy to adulthood.  On reaching adulthood those standards of behavior have become so ingrained that you never even think of questioning their validity because you “know” that those standards are right.  And of course you regularly come across people of different cultures and ethnicities who you see as behaving “strangely, inappropriately, unacceptably.”

20 Ways To Easily Boost Your Immune System

Source: www.trueactivist.com | Original Post Date: October 14, 2013 –

20-ways-to-easily-boost-your-immune-system

Every year a new round of advertisements, medicines, and commercials targeting stuffy-nosed, cold victims circulate. It’s obviously no fun to be brought down by a virus or bug when the cold weather hits, therefore the following preventative and immune-boosting tips will help you skip the viruses brought on by cold weather and instead enjoy the chilly season and all it offers.

1. Avoid simple sugars

Consuming too much sugar suppresses the immune system cells responsible for attacking bacteria. Even just consuming 75 – 100 grams of sugar solution (about the same as two 12 oz sodas) reduces the ability of white blood cells to overpower and destroy bacteria. Opt for natural fruit juices, teas, and water to flush your cells, boost your immune system with vitamins, and keep you hydrated.

Fracking Disaster: Kansas Went From 1 Earthquake Per Year To 42 A Week

Source: www.occupydemocrats.com | Original Post Date: October 16, 2015 –

The revolutionary method of natural-gas extraction known as hydraulic fracturing – or “fracking” – has left in its wake a trail of contaminated water supplies, polluted air, health problems, and environmental degradation. But what is potentially the most damaging aspect of the process is just coming to light in the form of a tremendous spate of earthquakes in the heart of the United States. In the past week, northern Oklahoma and southern Kansas have suffered forty two earthquakes of magnitude 2.5 on the Richter scale – 17% of all earthquakes in the world. This brings the year-to-date count up to 680 such tremors – and this in area that until recently was almost completely seismically dormant. Up until 2009, the area experienced an average of 1.5 of these quakes each year. What has changed since then is the massive influx of fracking operations seeking to take advantage of the Woodford Shale that straddles the two states’ border.
