South Korea Has A 20 Mile Solar Bike Lane Providing Electricity To Nearby Areas

bike-lane2A bike lane in South Korea sits in the middle of a highway and is fitted with a solar panel roof. The path stretches the 20 miles between the two cities of Daejeon and Sejong. In addition to providing a safe place for the cyclists to ride, the route also provides energy for nearby areas. The bike path has become so popular that a new lane is being planned around the city of Sejong that will stretch for 217 miles.

This idea is not to be confused with the solar bike path that opened recently in the Netherlands, which is a solar roadway. This project is a bit different since it is a pavement road with a solar roof.

The Magic of the Summer Solstice: Sacred Celebrations for Midsummer

Emma Tuzzio

Summer-Solstice-Stonehenge-blessing

As the wheel of the year turns to Summer, we enter into a time of fruition and fulfilment. All the upward energy of Spring spirals to it’s peak and launches us into Summer, when the days are longer than the nights. The result; a celebration of abundance and joy as the natural world explodes into full bloom; lush with trees, flowers and fruits blossoming to their full potential and unfurling in a kaleidoscope of colours.

Whilst each season possesses its own unique beauty, as someone living in the Southern hemisphere, Summer holds a particularly special place in my heart. The warmer Months bring with it a carefree sense of freedom, an expansive energy that propels me into action as I spend more time outdoors replenishing under the full force of the Suns ray’s. Summer can also signal a time of sizzling summer ROMANCE, PASSION, CREATIVITY, ABUNDANCE, and HAPPINESS. Leaked docs: NSA uses 'Candy Crush,' 'Angry Birds' to spy

The National Security Agency has targeted popular smartphone-based social games like "Candy Crush" and "Angry Birds" to pilfer personal information, including phone numbers, e-mails and codes that identify the user's device, according to documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden.

Among the so-called leaky apps with the greatest privacy perils are Google's Google Plus, Pinterest's online bulletin board and "Candy Crush," the most popular game on Facebook, according to an analysis by Zscaler Inc.

While Facebook and Google typically encrypt personal data, the feds have focused on advertising services that use the information to pitch goods and services to consumers.

The reach of apps, and of the networks advertisers use to pass data around, make them natural eavesdropping targets and are aiding a shift in the focus of surveillance efforts away from personal computers, said Kevin Mahaffey, co-founder and chief technology officer of Lookout Inc. in San Francisco.

How Can You Use Animals to Heal?

Tanaaz, Guest
Waking Times

Anyone with a pet would agree that animals have healing powers. They fill your home with love, they bring families together and studies have also shown that they can improve your health.

As Florence Nightingale stated back in the 1860’s- “a small pet is often an excellent companion for the sick, for long chronic diseases especially.”

Today, we still know this to be true and science is still testing out the different healing benefits that having an animal can provide.

One study published in the American Journal of Cardiology found that men who suffered from heart attacks were more likely to survive if they owned a dog. Another study found that having a pet can lower your blood pressure in just six months.

Research is also being conducted into the healing potential of a cats purr. Many believe that the vibrations created by a cat purring can be therapeutic for disease and can help reduce muscular aches and pains and even inflammation.

Holding Onto Pain

Like handfuls of broken glass and fistfuls of barbed wire…..you hold onto your pain like it will save your life.  Yes, it may have kept you safe for quite some time, but at what cost?  If you choose to hold onto the pain labels you have given yourself and that others have given you, there is a chance you may miss out on new experiences that are meant to heal those wounds.
Let go, my darling child and grow.  I assure you that a new kind of safety awaits. ~ Creator

Reclaim Your Spiritual Freedom

Credit: Pinterest.com

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

Spirituality is what we make of it, and nothing stops us from experiencing it uniquely. It’s probably harder for people who follow strict religions that limit their freedoms, but even then, it’s only as impossible as we make it. There are always little things we can do or little changes we can make to the way we think, and we can’t give up on our unique beliefs if other people condemn us for them.

If you consider yourself a Christian and you start to entertain a belief or lifestyle that goes against what other Christians consider acceptable, there’s a chance that the people around you will criticize you and maybe even try to ‘convert’ you back to their way of thinking – even if you never left Christianity in the first place. It can be disappointing when the people who mean the most to you won’t accept you because of a slight change in your beliefs, but this is the sad reality for a lot of people.

I can’t imagine what it’s like for people in religious families who abandon their faith altogether. I’m sure the numerous attempted conversions would be enough for most people to see that their religion isn’t as tolerant or accepting as they once thought, and while it’s tragic, their family’s refusal to accept them could actually liberate them more.

Redesigning Society: Local Economies and Happy Communities

By Phillip J. Watt
Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Globalization, Economics and the Culture of Consumption

Globalization is the emergence of bodies that organize, operate and economize on an international scale. It arguably originated to a small degree millennia ago, however since the 19th Century, and particularly over the past few decades, it has come to dominate the way in which the world owns, distributes, obtains, consumes and wastes its resources.

At first glance, globalization appears as a primarily positive influence for the socio-economic evolution of our global culture, because it has brought some short-terms gains; however the long-term reality is much more destructive. The deregulation of international trade and the consolidation of power structures has caused severe damage to local economies, cultural diversity, food quality, business ethics, Mother Earth and individual health, among other areas.

NASA spies 3-mile-tall 'pyramid,' more bright spots on Ceres

Ancient astronaut alert! More weird features have been spotted by NASA's Dawn spacecraft on Ceres, a dwarf planet and the largest object in the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.

As Dawn first made its approach on Ceres earlier this year, it caught sight of large, bright and mysterious reflective spots in a crater on the big rock, which is also believed to contain quite a bit of water, ice and/or mud in its interior.

Now orbiting at a near altitude of just 2,700 miles, those big spots remain a mystery (the leading guess is still reflective patches of ice or salts), but Dawn is also beginning to pick out other bright spots and an odd pyramid-shaped peak that NASA estimates to be three miles tall, which would put it higher than any of the Rocky Mountains. The image with the peak was taken on June 6 and released Wednesday.

Day 30: Relationships, Oc 4

RELATIONSHIPS   Think of the base of a building in which there are four pillars. If one pillar collapses, the building will fall. The four basic pillars of relationships are love, kindness, empathy and trust. Each of these encompasses a broad range of emotions and possible experiences. Love ranges from absolute hatred or fear to unconditional love. The parameters of kindness range from co-dependency to allowing others to follow their dreams. Empathy ranges from being completely ignorant of another’s emotional state to a feeling that you must persuade others to embrace your beliefs. Trust ranges from total wariness to seeing another as a great Master.

Some foundations will remain at a superficial level. These are generally relationships with people you’ve just met or run into occasionally such as the grocery store clerk, post office personnel and people you meet on the street or at social gatherings. Your relationships with these people are dependent on your life experiences and belief codes.

Daily Message ~ Friday June 19, 2015

We understand the past couple of months of your linear time have been challenging for many of you. During such times when the energies are churning things up, it can be difficult to keep your focus. It is easy to get distracted by energies coming up for release, either by you or by others.

Let us reassure you that you do not need 100% compliance with your focus to be successful! Pressuring yourselves during times of pressure really does not accomplish anything other than making you feel more discomfort. Simply surrender back into your true intention if you find yourself getting uncomfortable. Surrender anything that is less than your highest intention, as well, if you become aware of it. Surrender and acceptance are always the antidote to discomfort, Dear Ones.

We love you for your diligence, your commitment and your courage. Remember this does not need to be an unduly difficult process. Trust that the system is helping you continue to evolve into your highest light and truth. Move with the flow, knowing you are loved and assisted through it all, and you will be much more comfortable before you know it. You are all doing a magnificent job. ~Archangel Gabriel

The New Leadership Paradigm That Could Save the World In Less Than A Decade

There’s a new kind of leadership emerging that’s gaining momentum, and it may very well change the world. In less than a decade, it has the power to do what took multiple generations centuries to accomplish under the old paradigm.

Fueled by the power of collectivism balanced upon a substratum of unabashed individualism, the new leadership paradigm becomes its own power source when properly driven. If you and Ayn Rand don’t think collectivism and individualism can coexist in the same sentence, much less be driven down the same road, you might want to ditch your rearview mirror for a glimpse into the future.

Collectivism emphasizes the interdependence of all human beings. Beyond government or political systems, we already know that collectivism that doesn’t also allow for individual autonomy doesn’t work, as it limits human potential. Individualism is critical to cultivating natural diversity and maintaining checks and balances.

Redefining Our World

In reality, human potential can’t be stopped. Humanity is undergoing the growing pains of the evolution of consciousness as our understanding of the world around us, how we interact with one another and the planet, evolves beyond our self-imposed limitations.

Galactic Free Press's picture

It’s Not Technology That Will “Save” Us: It’s The Consciousness That Operates It

The bard Robert Anton Wilson said, “Anybody who tells you that we’re running out of resources or that we’re in a terrible mess–they are idiots. We can’t run out of resources. Resources exist when the human mind sees how to use something. To say we are running out of resources is like saying we are running out of brain cells.(1)”

If necessity is the mother of invention, it is safe to say she is finally giving birth. Despite the relative mismanagement of our “resources,” the growth of affordable green energy industries and countless prototypical inventions are arriving right on time. Moreover, these new inventions have the potential to single-handedly replace conventional methods for dealing with systemic environmental problems.(2)(3)

But what if our problems are not technological, but cultural? What if “the west” has been so blinded by abstraction that the first glimpse of hope offered in the form of a band-aid is immediately heralded as a cure, all without even recognizing that process is occurring?

After all, what good are solar panels on every house if we use them to power 500-channel televisions feeding you anxiety and smut and alienation?

…or electric cars if we don’t have to worry about paying for gas while being stuck in rush hour gridlock on the way to an uninspiring job?

Ego, the Opposite of Humility

God said:

To thine own self be true really means: To thine own SELF be true.

Now, this that I say next is delicate. To Thine own Self be true means not to follow your wee tiny little trumped-up ego! I am your Self. Follow Me.

Attachment is ego. Your first opinion is often based on ego. Your ego is sure he is right. Ego always thinks he knows better than anyone else. Ego thinks he knows better than I do. Ego has a high opinion of himself. Ego has many ways of dodging what I say, and ego does a good job of thwarting what is in your best interest. In every case, it is in your best interest to dodge ego and listen to Me.

Of course, I speak of ego as if he were a third party to you, yet ego thrives and is alive and well within you. Ego is not responsible for your antics. You are responsible for ego’s antics. Ego gains ground only with your participation, and, I must say, most often with your wholehearted participation. Ego may rub his grimy hands in delight while you look at him with approval. Whenever you want to get the better of someone, this is ego urging you on. Otherwise, you would be honoring another soul on Earth more than you may presently.

How necessary it is that you stay away from ego. Do not go where angels fear to tread.

Triple Water Astrology – The Critical Degree! Weekly Horoscope – Week Starting Friday, June 19, 2015

Please like my page at http://www.facebook.com/triplewaterastrology!

While Saturn continues to settle back into the Scorpio sign again this week, Sun and Mars will change signs. A much more watery feel to the week ensues at it progresses. Mercury direct in his home sign, Gemini, becomes the only planet to manifest via an air sign. The air energy is well represented, however, by Mercury’s logic and step-by-step approach to problem solving. Mars is enervated in Cancer, or perhaps better said, out of place in the Cancer sign, but he is still Mars! Protective and defensive qualities emerge in the quest to obtain desires.

Venus and Jupiter form the nicest of conjunctions all week, and the greatest unity between the two occurs at the end of the week. Jupiter’s benevolence and Venus’ ease march in a lockstep fashion in the fiery Leo sign. This week has its share of change, but the influence of Venus and Jupiter, and a more placid Mars, encourages looking at the brighter side of events. Saturn and Neptune (and Chiron) are retrograde. Structure, spirituality, and forging your own path tend to have an all or nothing feel, another piece of this week’s complicated puzzle in the transits.

The politicians have always been stupid; this is nothing new. Otherwise why should they be politicians? They would have been poets, they would have been mystics, they would have been painters, they would have been musicians, they would have been dancers. But when a person cannot be anything, when he has no talents, no intelligence, then, the last possibility is he becomes a politician - because in politics, stupidity is an asset. The more stupid you are, the more is your possibility of reaching to the top - because it needs arrogance, violence. It needs insensitivity, it needs hatred, jealousy, ambition, to reach to the top of the ladder. And it needs utter unintelligence.

Otherwise who should be interested in just becoming a ladder climber? Life has much more to give.

Just sitting under a tree and playing on your flute is far more satisfying than being a president of a country. Just being in love with a woman or a man is far more satisfying than having all the riches of the world and all the power that it can give.
