Why Not Be Happy For No Reason?

You know what joy is, you know what happiness feels like. Look within yourself, that feeling of happiness is already there. It may be a bit buried under all the thoughts and emotions you've been focusing upon lately, but happiness is there within everyone. Why not focus upon that feeling? You deserve it, everyone does, why not make it that simple?

If you're like most people, you've got a hundred reasons to be anxious, and you think these are all perfectly valid reasons too. If you didn't think they were valid, you wouldn't be anxious about the future, about money, health and relationships. “I don't have time to be happy, I've got bills and work and chores to do!” You bind your happiness to situations, events, things and desires, but the good news is, you don't have to. Happiness doesn't really work that way.

By your own choice, you put happiness into the future, and by your own choice, you can have happiness in the present moment. You don't have to let this all happen unconsciously, you don't have to let happiness depend upon situations that appear to be out of your control. Even if you're struggling to make ends meet, you have the power over how you react to that. Some of the happiest people have next to nothing, while some of the most miserable people have everything they could ever want. It's a choice, and it has very little to do with external situations.

Australia Is Warming up to Medical Marijuana

Here in the United States, medical marijuana quickly went from something that was ridiculed to something that was accepted as having a potential basis in reality, and now, we have doctor after doctor coming out in favor of its widespread medical uses.

One of them is Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who you might’ve seen on CNN a few times and who recently started to endorse medical marijuana.

There are many ways that one may be introduced to this philosophy. We may have been brought up around it via our family. We might have had a profound revelation in a one-off experience. Some are initiated through ongoing paranormal activity. Others just intuitively feel it. Altered mind states could have been the catalyst. A gradual or instant revolution could have occurred in our mind where synchronicity deposed coincidence. There could have also been an influence by assorted texts and teachings which infer this similar conclusion. For most of us, uncovering the wisdom of unity most likely occurred via a combination of channels.

Diet pills? Tried them. Surgery? Thought about it. Fad diets? Tried and failed 100 times over! 1 in 5 women have admitted to using diet pills. You’d think that with the whole Ephedrine scare and the recent passing of a young lady as a result of taking diet pills people would stop using them. They haven’t. In fact, more people now than ever are taking diet pills, appetite suppressants, so-called herbal supplements, drinking strange powders mixed with water, and so on. They don’t work. Why? Because we’re too dependent.

We’re so dependent on outside things to help us lose weight, get into shape, and shape up our health that we often don’t see the forest for the trees. We don’t see that these products are not intended to help us nor have they ever. People say “Well I tried eating healthy and I just wasn’t losing weight.” That’s because we don’t want it to work. We don’t want healthy eating to be the reason for our losing weight…because eating healthy doesn’t allow us the junk food that we’ve grown to love so much. The mind is VERY powerful!

Eta Aquarid meteor shower peaks - May 5/6, 2015

This year's Eta Aquarids, known for their speed, peak during the early morning hours of May 5 - 6. Traveling at about 66 km/s (148 000 mph) into Earth's atmosphere these meteors are leaving glowing trains (incandescent bits of debris in the wake of the meteor) which last for several seconds to minutes.

This is an above average shower, capable of producing up to 60 meteors per hour at its peak, which favors southern hemisphere observers. Sadly, the nearly full moon will be a big problem this year blocking out all but the brightest meteors.

In the northern hemisphere, the rate can reach about 10 to 30 meteors per hour, where they can be seen as "earthgrazers" - long meteors that appear to skip the surface of the Earth at the horizon.
