More mysterious craters found in northern Russia

Several months after a huge black hole was found in Yamal peninsula, Siberia, Russia, researchers say they have found more suspicious-looking craters and lakes and have called for 'urgent' investigation of the new phenomenon.

The Siberian Times writes that until now, only three large craters were known about in northern Russia with several scientific sources speculating last year that heating from above the surface due to unusually warm climatic conditions, and from below, due to geological fault lines, led to a huge release of gas hydrates, so causing the formation of these craters in Arctic regions.

"We know now of seven craters in the Arctic area," respected Moscow scientist Professor Vasily Bogoyavlensky said. "Five are directly on the Yamal peninsula, one in Yamal Autonomous district, and one is on the north of the Krasnoyarsk region, near the Taimyr peninsula."

Gratitude Meditation: Day 175, Men 6

GRATITUDE MEDITATION   Today, if possible, spend time in nature or at least with a houseplant, if you have no yard or access to nature. Spend several moments caressing a plant or sitting with a tree.

Focus solely on your breathing. On your inhale, breathe in oxygen and the fragrance of the plant. On your exhale, give gratitude to the plant for providing the oxygen that you breathe. Continue with this simple exercise until you are completely relaxed and have worked up a warm feeling of love and gratitude.

Now, visualize someone you are having difficulties with or someone you would like to have a deeper relationship with. On the inbreath, bring that person closer to you, releasing all judgments and negative feelings. On the outbreath, send loving thoughts from your heart to theirs. Continue until you feel a connection of acceptance or love.

Northern Lights: Alaska on Tuesday Will Become Third State With Legal Marijuana

JUNEAU, Alaska — Smoking, growing and possessing marijuana becomes legal in America's wildest state Tuesday, thanks to a voter initiative aimed at clearing away 40 years of conflicting laws and court rulings.

Making Alaska the third state to legalize recreational marijuana was the goal of a coalition including libertarians, rugged individualists and small-government Republicans who prize the privacy rights enshrined in the state's constitution.

But when they voted 52-48 percent last November to legalize marijuana use by adults in private places, they left many of the details to lawmakers and regulators to sort out.

November's initiative also bans smoking in public, but didn't define what that means, and lawmakers left the question to the alcohol regulatory board, which planned to meet early Tuesday to discuss an emergency response.

Is Marijuana The Least Harmful Drug? This Study Says Yes

Supporters of marijuana legalization have often cited the fact that cannabis has yet to directly kill anyone via overdose. They argue that it’s the least harmful drug around. And now, they might have some science to back up the claim.

As the Washington Post reports, “compared to other recreational drugs — including alcohol — marijuana may be even safer than previously thought. And researchers may be systematically underestimating risks associated with alcohol use.”

The findings were published in the journal Scientific Reports. Researchers set out to look at the risk of death associated with the use of common psychoactive substances...

Anyways

Time is perhaps the most relative of all the relative in the world. Time trips you up. It confuses you. You are betwixt and between when it comes to time. Ah, Infinity is another story. You are always sitting still in Infinity, or We can say you are humming and dancing, as it were, to your own beat. In the arena of time, you shuffle along. In Infinity, you soar. What more is there to say?

Clocks are one thing. Sunrise and sunset are another.

There are horizons where sky and Earth meet, yet time is always coming and going. Time comes around the corner, and runs away at the same time. Time is an errant lover. Time is like ego seen from another angle. It pushes and pulls you, as if it were shooting bullets at your feet and making you dance. You try to catch up to time while you also try to escape it. Time leads you on, never fulfilling what it purports to fulfill.

I lift a curtain. Come under it, and Infinity captures your heart. You see where you have been sleeping. You see the imprint of your head on your pillow. No hurry in Infinity. There is nothing you have to do but be. Nothing you have to become, for, anyways, you are. Nowhere you have to go because all is here, not tucked away, but in plain view, a view that extends beyond sight and happenstance. Beyond the blue yonder and beyond beyond, flowers grow, and you rise in the light. No, not quite. You are risen in the light. You see, yet what is there to see and who is there to exclaim over it and whose voice can speak and what is there to say?

Children are intelligent: they are not yet covered by layers of dust, they have not yet gone through the factory called education, they have not yet been cultured; they are yet wild and they still have the freedom and the innocence and the joy of the wild animals. They act moment to moment.

But we start cultivating them, we start curbing their freedom. We start imposing, "Do this, don't do that." We start imposing do's and don'ts on them. Soon they will forget all about freedom, soon they will start acting out of the past, pretending. Soon they will be no more alive.

4 Ways to Stop Overthinking Every Decision and Move Forward

In our lives, we are given many choices, most of which we overthink. We overthink what we want for breakfast, what we are going to wear, or how much shampoo to use that morning. Why do we overthink these simple things as much as we overthink going to the doctors, setting up a savings account, or even going back to school? The reason is that we are unable to stop overthinking. As a society, we have become conditioned to thinking there is more to something than its face value. If you are getting stress headaches, you are overly tired or just plain stressed out, here are some tips to stop overthinking situations and be happy with your decisions.

1. Nothing Is Set In Stone

While this tip generally applies to smaller situations such as breakfast or if you are going to pair your socks that morning, it can be applied to life changing ones too...

Fresh leak of highly radioactive water detected at Fukushima No. 1

Sensors at the Fukushima No. 1 nuclear plant have detected a fresh leak of highly radioactive water to the sea, the plant’s operator, Tepco, announced Sunday, February 22 highlighting continued difficulties in decommissioning the crippled atomic station, The Japan Times writes.

The operator said the sensors, which were rigged to a gutter that drains rain and groundwater at the plant into a nearby bay, detected contamination levels up to 70 times greater than the already-high radioactive status seen on the plant grounds.

The higher-than-normal levels of contamination were detected at around 10 a.m. (local time), with sensors showing radiation levels 50 to 70 times greater than usual, Tepco said.

The levels of beta ray-emitting substances, such as strontium-90, measured 5 050 to 7 230 becquerels per liter of water between 10:20 a.m. and 10:50 a.m.

The latest incident, one of several that have plagued the plant in recent months, reflects the difficulty in controlling...

Transcending the Illusion of Disconnection

Transcending Transcendence

Phil Watt, Contributor
Waking Times

A Guide to Unity

If reality is unified, then we must also accept that everything is essentially equal.

Spirituality is a very personal affair regardless of the various pathways that one may take or disciplines that one may adhere to. Yet even though there is an abundance of different belief systems and avenues for spiritual endeavour, there is one universal agreement between them – the principle of unity.

Transcending the illusion of disconnection is a personal path.

There are many ways that one may be introduced to this philosophy. We may have been brought up around it via our family. We might have had a profound revelation in a one-off experience. Some are initiated through paranormal activity. Others just intuitively feel it. Altered mind states could have been the catalyst. A revolution could have occurred, through synchronicity deposing coincidence, or the lessons of assorted texts and teachings which all infer this similar conclusion. Or through a combination of channels.

Nature is healing, get in it

The design of our society ensures we experience a level of separation and disconnection. When ever you find yourself in a low, dense vibration where your mind lacks clarity and your physical body reflects your inner feelings; remember a simple step out in nature can help positively transform everything.

Try to breathe in and absorb the fresh vibrant goodness nature emits; it is not only good for your mental clarity but if you’re willing to receive, you can experience real healing as well.

I try to make it a point everyday to get some time out in nature. I find that it helps clear the mind of the tangles and static so that one can ground and see things from a new fresh perspective.

Places like natural springs, where there is constant running water, release something called Negative Ions. Don’t get the name confused, those little Ions help balance us back to a grounded space when one may feel intoxicated with all the Technology and Cell towers that are so prevalent in our day.

Self-Healing, Cancer and Forgiveness

By Regina Chouza

Holding onto anger is like grasping a hot coal with the intent of throwing it at someone else; you are the one who gets burned ~ Buddha

It has been said that anger and resentment can make us sick to the point of causing cancer. For healing to occur, we have to practice the art of forgiveness. Holding onto grudges can certainly eat away at us from the inside, much like a cancerous tumor. Consider the possibility of anger as a risk factor for cancer, as you would nutrition, obesity or genetics. What exactly would this mean? Risk factors are used to identify groups of people who may be more likely to develop an illness. It doesn’t mean a person will get sick, but it does give them something to watch out for. In the case of anger and resentment, they can also point out behavioral patterns that need to be changed in order to the release that emotional burden.

Forget Your Age – Live Now!

Forget Your Age - Live Now!

By Cynthia Olsen

Guest Writer for Wake Up World

Aging may bring about risks to the mind and body such as memory loss, but ongoing research has found good reason to feel better about growing older.

According to Elkhonon Goldberg, professor of Neurology at New York University School of Medicine, aging does not always lead to loss and deterioration; it can also bring about rebirth and renewal. Professor Goldberg is the author of The Wisdom Paradox: How Your Mind Can Grow Stronger as Your Brain Grows Older.

It seems that neuroplasticity – the ability to develop new neurons – is stimulated in people who keep their minds continually active as they age. Goldberg cites Albert Einstein as a prime example. “When he wasn’t working, he played the violin to keep his mind sharp.”

Prisoners of Fear

Fear takes us to our prison within, which blocks the door to our growth in consciousness.

Fear overpowers the soft sweet voice of our higher genius, dividing us into two halves with little to no hope of rescue.

A companion of doubt, a brother to guilt, fear bathes us in low self-esteem and keeps us from taking the important risks that free us from its bondage.

Fear kidnaps our attention from hope and intuition and imprisons us in thought, mind, and false imagination. We are deceived by its presence and detoured into dark pathways of illusion.

It is a choice, but to the unaware they cannot see fear, or find their way out. The doorway out of fear is to be aware and witness it, not identify with, or become it.

Namaste.

Would You Like To Become A Tree After You Die? This Urn Could Turn Our Graveyards Into Forests

urn

“Bios Urn changes the way people see death, converting the ‘end of life’ into a transformation and a return to life through nature. [It is] a smart, sustainable, and ecologically friendly way to approach what’s, probably, one of the most important moments in human life.”

This urn enables your pets, your loved ones, or you to become a tree after you pass on by transforming the ashes into a tree. “After you die, do you want your body to feed worms or to feed squirrels?” asks the Bios Urn team. This concept was designed by estudimolinea Spanish design studio.

The urn is made of cellulose, compacted peat, and a coconut shell. It is 100% biodegradable. It consists of two parts, a seed capsule on top and a bottom for the ashes...
