3 Ancient Spiritual Concepts Science Helps Us Understand – How Spirit & Science Interact

In response to popular demand, it is time to formally make a bridge between the worlds of science and spirit.  How do they interact with one another?  What evidence is there to support spiritual concepts and philosophies?  The truth is, there is so much scientific evidence out there that you could fill an Encyclopedia.  In this article, we will look at three of the most important spiritual topics that science helps us understand.

Before we look at them, it’s important to remember that science is just one way to measure natural phenomenon.  Because it studies the natural world (and not things which are beyond nature), there are some topics which are simply inaccessible using the scientific method.  But even following the rigidity of the scientific method, we can still see an overwhelming amount of evidence that gives credence to spiritual concepts people have been teaching for thousands of years.

Spirit is consciousness.  Science is the measure and study of the natural world.  When you begin to see how consciousness mingles with physical reality (or how spirit interacts with science), a world of total magic opens up.

Let’s take a look.

3 Scary Steps To Enlightenment Most People Don’t Want To Take

We sometimes tend to think of “enlightenment” as an uplifting, satisfying, and enjoyable process.  What could be more blissful and fun than waking up to your authentic self?  Awakening is one of the most exciting processes you could be a part of in life.

But the truth is, there are many many steps down the road to enlightenment that many people don’t want to take.  Why? Because they are painful, threatening, or depressing.  Not to mention, they can be incredibly scary.  Sometimes, becoming the greatest version of yourself requires you to do things that you have nothing but pure resistance for.

The goal of this article is to inspire people to take a look inside themselves and see if there are any crucial steps that need to be taken for the good of the evolution of their soul.  I still struggle with these things myself on a daily basis, so I know what it is like to resist the things which will benefit the soul the most.

3 Signs Your Child is An Old Soul

Children are beautiful creatures; they are raw, brutal, compassionate and deserve a lot more credit! They operate entirely from their emotional body, using feelings as their guidance system. Their connection to Source, their overpowering imagination and surreal way of thinking is something that seems to dissipate into the design of society.

As we grow from children to adults, if we stayed in our emotional bodies, our world would operate based on feeling rather than hard logic. It would be fantastical, nonsensical and literally magical. Our belief systems would have stayed open throughout our development and the idea of impossibility would not exist.

Children that are considered old souls are those here with a purpose to spread their timeless wisdom through a newly born vessel. There’s something so captivating about a child that has brought forth so much information and insight from the other side.

3 Spiritual Myths That Block You From Living Fully

As you begin to awaken to your sense of spirituality, it’s easy to get misguided by all of the disinformation that is spread online and in the book stores.  As we begin to work through our own personal thought programs and belief systems, some additional belief systems can become installed and act as viruses inside our being.

These viruses are really just false beliefs and spiritual myths that get installed inside of us and can prevent us from living fully and authentically.  Here are three very common spiritual myths that block us from living fully:

1) Spirituality is a belief system...

How To Silence Your Mind And Not Worry – Alan Watts

Everyone will be able to relate this. We all worry about things, it’s perfectly natural but do we worry too much? Our minds are constantly busy with thoughts and worries and the only way to really stop worrying and thinking so much is to learn how to silence your mind.

”May we have the serenity to accept the things we cannot change, the courage to change the things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” ~ Alan Watts

Alan Watts who narrates this video was profoundly influenced by the East Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Buddhism, and by Taoist thought, which is reflected in Zen poetry and the arts of China and Japan. Listening to his wisdom has helped to being me much peace and I hope that you too can reap the benefits of his words.

How To Create The Life You Want

There is a time in one’s development where you switch your perception from being the body to the eternal being inside the body; the vessel to the pilot of the vessel.

One way to align with your most authentic self is to first, simply find a comfortable place to lay down, sit up, or whatever position is most comfortable.

Now, take yourself out of the equation. Observe your life objectively, from the neutral perspective of love. Watch your perspectives, opinions, beliefs, likes and dislikes. Remember, you are the silent observer within, and allow the thoughts come to flow, watch them like a movie reel. Don’t get sucked into any single thought, when you catch yourself drifting, take a deep breath and refocus.

What is the difference between Empathy and Sympathy?

The definition of sympathy:

“feelings of pity and sorrow for someone else’s misfortune.”

The definition of empathy:

“the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. ”

We are empaths, not sympaths.  Empathy is having a high enough awareness to tap into the feelings of others. To listen a story being told so fully you experience it alongside the story teller.

It’s creating a space of comfort for someone because they know you have an understanding of their emotions. We all experience our own versions of shared emotions like sadness, excitement, anything.

3 False Beliefs About Happiness That Make Us Unhappy

Happiness is the greatest pursuit of life.  Some people want their dream job, others want to find their soul mate, but in reality, we are all just searching for happiness and joy.  Without happiness (or at least the hope of happiness), life almost becomes meaningless.  Here is the truth about happiness:

The number 1 thing preventing people from living truly happy lives comes down to their belief about what happiness actually is.  When you have the wrong idea about what happiness is, you will end up spending your whole life either looking for something in the wrong place or looking for something which never even existed to begin with.

Let’s go over some common false beliefs about happiness.  Here are 3 false beliefs that sabotage the happiness of many:

3 Ways To Become Lucid While You’re Awake

We have all heard of lucid dreaming before.  Lucid dreaming is the act of waking up within your dream, and becoming aware that you are operating within a dream world.  Everything around you becomes a little more saturated with colour and life as the realization sits in that the world around you is yours to create.  You can fly, manipulate matter, and influence the behaviour of other characters in your dream.

More profound than the new abilities you have is the underlying sense of being present in a realm of dreams.  Sometimes, it has almost moved me to tears while being in a lucid dream.  It’s so beautiful. One of the best parts about lucid dreaming is the profound implications they can have on our experience of reality.  I once had a lucid dream where it felt more real than real life.  There are times where I know I am lucid within a dream, but this felt so hyper-real I couldn’t decipher between lucid dream and reality anymore.

Then I thought to myself, “If I can’t tell the difference between this and real life, how can I be so certain that ‘real life’ is not a dream also?”.  A few moments after that, I found myself awake in my bedroom, hovering four feet over my body looking around my room which had now become illuminated by my astral body.
