Arrogance in Relationships: How to Deal With and Heal It

By Jack Adam Weber
Contributing Writer for Wake Up World

“Arrogance is founded in weakness and feeds on insecurity.”

Arrogance is marked by defensiveness, denial, entitlement, insecurity, and even violence. Arrogance is to “have or reveal an exaggerated sense of one’s own importance or abilities.” Needless to say, such posturing poses problems in relationships, and to feeling equally important and valuable.

In order for arrogance to have a chance at being tamed, it needs to be recognized, even expressed, preferably without the violence. Only by expressing my arrogance can I learn how I am exaggerated, or flat out wrong, and thereby stand the chance to become more humble, which allows me to see reality more clearly.

The Connection Between Your Mental-Emotional Health & Physical Illness

How often is it that we get to understand our bodies on a deeper level? A lot of the time we ignore the messages our bodies are sending us, or dampen them with drugs (both prescription and illicit) rather than addressing the underlying problem. But when sickness comes knocking, we usually find ourselves forced to listen.

That’s what happened to Olivia Omitrano, better known as Organic Olivia. She says her poor and negative thoughts about herself helped bring on a long list of body issues, from IBS and liver deficiency to depression, eating disorders, and eventually parasites.

She turned to doctors for help but became more ill after being given the Gardasil vaccine. Sick and tired, literally, she finally decided to take back her health, diving into a ton of research and consulting with a Chinese Medicine doctor. As her health drastically improved, so too did her attitude and outlook on life. We sat down with her and chatted about some of the great things she’s learned on her wellness journey. Here’s a quick recap… but you gotta watch the video to get the full scope!

Daily Message ~ Saturday August 22, 2015

Have you ever thought to communicate with your body? Have you ever stopped to ask your body what it needs? It is such a simple thing to do! Your body is naturally always going to try to find its way to wellness. It is the expert of itself. We urge you to stop, be quiet, and simply ask your body what it needs right now to thrive. Start to listen to it in all ways. Rest if you are tired. Move if you are energized. If it has a craving for a certain food, let it have it, knowing there is a nutrient in that food that is required. Hydrate it. Love and nurture it!

Have you ever stopped and thanked your body for all that it does for you? Have you ever focused on all of its incredible systems that work automatically your entire life without you having to think about it at all? Have you thanked your cells? Have you thanked your body for being such a wonderful house for your soul? Have you honoured it for allowing you to enter and fully enjoy the realm of experience? So many of you are focused on every ache and pain and never think to celebrate the wonder of the body that serves you tirelessly. Shift your health by appreciating all the systems that are working perfectly for you!

Your body is an integral part of your experience as a human being. It is time to love it unconditionally and honour it for the incredible ways it so lovingly serves you. ~Archangel Gabriel

30 large whales found dead along the coast of Alaska, a cause remains unknown

30 dead large whales have been found since May 2015, along the Western Gulf of Alaska and southern shoreline of the Alaska Peninsula. Simultaneous increase in the number of large whale strandings in British Columbia, Canada, got the scientists on both ends to start an active investigation. The "Unusual Mortality Event" (UME) for large whales has been declared for the first time on Alaska.

An unusually high number of large whale deaths has been reported across the Western Gulf of Alaska, in the regions around Kodiak Island, Afognak Island, Chirikof Island and the Semidi Islands, and along the southern shoreline of the Alaska Peninsula. 11 fin whales, 14 humpback whales, one gray whale and four unidentified whale species have been found dead in the Western Gulf of Alaska.

A Sailboat Sailing Across the Ocean Blue

God said:

If you want peace in your life, you can have it. If you want storms, you can have them. You can have whatever you want.

You wanted Me. You got Me. Long before you knew the words for what you wanted, you wanted Me, just as I wanted you Who art My Very Self.

You know a simple word like peace. You know a longer word like equanimity that means the evenness of peace. You can bring to you whatever you want, long or short.

Maybe it takes more than asking in order for you to receive what you want. Maybe what you have to do is to decide what it is you want.

If you want equanimity, if you really do, if you really do choose peace over emotion and drama, the likelier it is that you will have it.

If you can have ups and downs, you certainly can have life on an even keel. If you like upset more than you like calmness, you can have upset. If you like calmness more than you like upset, you will have calmness. What do you want? What do you most desire? Whatever you call to yourself, you can have. It’s yours.

If you are sailing a sailboat across the Ocean Blue, you pull the sails in the direction you want to go. If you want the squalls, you lean one way. If you want the calms, you lean another way.

Here’s what you need to know: The calms are not doldrums. Have you perhaps thought they were? Have you perhaps thought that a life without sturm und drang would be stilted, boring, and ineffectual? No, not at all. Such a life will be enlivening and thrilling. Great wonders will come along with such a life.

Somebody asked Pablo Picasso, "What is the purpose of your paintings?" and he said, "Why don't you go in the garden and ask the rose flower, 'What is your purpose?' Why don't you go to a bird singing: 'What is the purpose?' Why don't you ask the sun and the moon? Why do you bother me?

If the rose can bloom without any purpose, why can't I paint a picture? I enjoy painting, and that's all."

Don’t Play the Comparison Game

by Gia Dalton

The Comparison Game Begins…

The ego craves attention and loves to compare. The more attention it gets, the bigger it becomes. Comparing yourself to others, positively or negatively, is all about ego. Comparing creates separation. It is based on assumptions and perceptions. Your perceptions may not be accurate or true and may be totally ridiculous. The comparison game is played out in your mind.

Collectively, we are one. The minute you compare yourself to another person good or bad, along with what you perceive their struggles to be, creates separation. You have declared sides – you against them. The ego either provides a false sense of superiority, which you really don’t believe anyway, or an inferiority complex. At the end of the day, you crawl into bed, pull the covers up over your head and wake up in the morning – it’s still you!

The comparison game is mentally exhausting and stressful. As the saying goes, “People in glass houses should not throw stones.” Everyone has endured shortcomings and struggles. You are hanging on to a slippery slope when your ego has become so bold to declare what you perceive as a truth against another person.

4 Ways That the Media Can Kill Your Vibe

By Andrea Schulman | Raise Your Vibration Today

Do you ever feel like you live in a dangerous world, and you have to fight to get ahead? Do you ever feel like you don’t measure up? Though all of us want to feel happy and fulfilled, there are a few vibrational traps in the media today that often inspire feelings of fear, anger, and insecurity within us.

It’s good to point out first that in many ways, the world we live in today is a wonderful world. Most of us have a high degree of comfort, flexibility and freedom (as compared to people of the past). I’d go so far to say it’s the best time in history to be alive. There are many reasons for us to feel good about our lives and the world around us.

With that being said, we’re always evolving, and there is always room for improvement. Here are a few ways that today’s media can kill your vibe and some advice on how to rise above it:

Day 93: Move Beyond Lack

MOVE BEYOND LACK This world has an unsurpassed amount of abundance available to you. Having a sense of lack in any area is not healthy. Break through these codes and the behaviors that keep you in the poorhouse. Expand your worldview and way of thinking and allow yourself to flow with nature and enjoy the blessings offered freely to you.

Return to your roots where life is simpler, less stressful and full of healthy food and family values. You have lost your sense of tribe. It is time to gather with like-minded souls and create communities in which you support and nurture each other. These communities can provide great wealth in food, knowledge and love. What better commodities can you think of?   Selamet! Ben 2

There Might Be Fracking Wastewater on Your Organic Fruits and Veggies

Irrigation water appears to be a major loophole in the USDA's organic food safety program.

The US Department of Agriculture's organics standards, written 15 years ago, strictly ban petroleum-derived fertilizers commonly used in conventional agriculture. But the same rules do not prohibit farmers from irrigating their crops with petroleum-laced wastewater obtained from oil and gas wells—a practice that is increasingly common in drought-stricken Southern California.

As I reported last month, oil companies last year supplied half the water that went to the 45,000 acres of farmland in Kern County's Cawelo Water District, farmland that is owned, in part, by Sunview, a company that sells certified organic raisins and grapes. Food watchdog groups are concerned that the state hasn't required oil companies to disclose all the chemicals they use in oil drilling and fracking operations, much less set safety limits for all those chemicals in irrigation water.

The Mission (and Purpose) of the Spiritual Revolutionary

Credit: theshoeshineguy.wordpress.com

“Your purpose in life is to find your purpose and give your whole heart and soul to it”  ― Gautama Buddha (Credit: Good Reads)

By Wes Annac, Culture of Awareness

All around the world, people are awakening to spirituality, the corruption of the people in power and the necessity to change our ways, and whether we realize it or not, we’re all on a mission to wake up and help the rest of the world become aware.

I think there’s a difference between our ‘mission’ and our ‘purpose’. In my opinion, our mission is to spread love, knowledge and awareness so the world can wake up and make a positive change, and our purpose is whatever medium we use to do that. Some people choose writing; some choose music, painting or something similar; some speak publicly on a number of issues that have to do with a new paradigm; and some share the information and art that’s offered by the rest of the conscious community.

Awakening Yourself From Within

By Brett Jones
Guest Writer for Wake Up World

In human history we  have never been richer, had more, created more or inspired greater technological advances. And yet, we have never been so unhappy.

The World Happiness Report (2) shows people in developed continents such as Europe, North America, Australia, and New Zealand are less happy than they were in 2005. This is despite increased economic benefit. The Happy Planet index 2014 (3) shows that countries such as Indonesia are happier than any ‘developed’ nation.

It is all too obvious from these studies that wealth and riches do not bring happiness or fulfillment. There needs to be a change in how we perceive life and what we want from it. If following our current path of ongoing economic development in a bid to achieve personal and national happiness is not working, then what would work? What path can we follow? And how do we find it?

Are Those Negative Thoughts Actually Yours?

By Lia Love
Guest Writer for Wake Up World

“Half the time you think your thinking, you’re actually listening.” ~ Terence McKenna

Recently someone asked me what we can do to move out of negative thinking and actions. First, determine if the negative thoughts are actually yours or not yours.

In my experience, very few if any of our negative thoughts are actually ours. The ones that are not ours may seem like ours because they are playing in our heads. The logic is that we are thinking them so why wouldn’t they be our thoughts? But thoughts can come that surely don’t feel like ours! When they do, we become dumbfounded, shake our head in disbelief, question our sanity and think – surely that isn’t me – I don’t feel that way!

So, when our own thoughts don’t resonate even for us, we have to wonder… Why are we having these thoughts? Where are they actually coming from?

How to Heal the Hidden Root of Unworthiness

Are You Worthy?

Why is it that most of us spend our entire lives trying to experience our worth, keep it and prove it to others?

Could it be that our concept and experience of worthiness has gotten lost in the preconception and “misbelievings” that we are not good enough unless we offer value through our deeds, actions and/or our aesthetic appeal?

At the core of all issues, lies the same demon. He looks different and may act different but underneath his many cloaks, unworthiness lies and the more we try to get rid of him or try to prove him wrong, the more persistent he becomes – making his home in our soul. He grows stronger and more demanding the more we believe in him and the less we believe in ourselves. He drives us; and drives us crazy because before we know it our entire lives are dedicated to overcoming our unworthiness by trying to prove our worth.

This demon called unworthiness runs our lives making us cringe and hide; never allowing the world to see us because then they might see that we really are unworthy underneath it all.

How can we ever know and experience our organic, unconditional and intrinsic worthiness, when we are constantly trying to prove that we are not unworthy?

As long as you are trying to prove anything, you will never know or even experience it. It is only in the true surrender that you can begin to know the thing that you are trying to prove.
