We are about to enter The Lion’s Gate, an activation of the number 8/8/8. August, eighth month, in the sign of Leo the lion, on the eighth day of the year, with the numerology year 2015 being 8. There are many aspects to this stargate and I am going to be going through the significance of this event as well as how to utilize this time to it greatest ability. This is the year of the tipping and final balancing of the scale, the yin and yang forces around the Earth are becoming more apparent, as well as inner aspects needed to be addressed inside. If you are listening this is the perfect time to ignite your energy power generator!

The Month of the Lion

Right now we are in the astrological sign of Leo and this lion is a natural leader when all aspects are balanced. When the Leo is in it’s center and balanced it expands not only a quiet and powerful confidence like that of a Lion but also a generous and magnanimous heart...

What Happens To Your Brain When You Fall in Love

The human brain is an exquisitely sensitive instrument. It registers the slightest nuance of any experience you have ever had. This is no more evident than in love. Imagine someone whispering, “I love you.” In romantic terms these are desirable words – probably the most desirable any of us will ever hear.

The brain responds to ‘I love you” with an orchestration of positive reactions. People who are in love feel less stressed; their blood pressure goes down. When a couple who enjoys a long-term loving marriage hold hands, even their response to physical pain is strengthened.

These points and others in the same vein were detailed in a recent New York Times opinion piece called “The Brain on Love” by writer-poet Diane Ackerman. We found it an empathic article, one that celebrates human bonding from the first moment a newborn baby imprints on its mother. Bonding takes place via complex brain mechanisms that follow us throughout our lives.

5 Attachments To Let Go Of To Experience True Freedom In Life

“Attachment is the root of all suffering” – Buddha

We all want to be free and feel free, but what does this really look like? Most people imagine it looks like something along the lines of being your own boss, not living by the alarm clock, or leaving the ratrace. The truth is, freedom is more of a mental state than anything else, and you can be working a 9-5 and be absolutely free. You can also be your own boss and be totally enslaved.

It all comes down to your intentions, your desires, and your level of attachment to particular outcomes. Are you resisting your heart and resisting life, or are you flowing with them both and embracing each moment? For the last year and a half, I have been my own boss. I have also been more of a slave than ever before up until recently, not because of my lifestyle, but because of my mentality.

What Happens To Our Body When We Suppress Our Emotions?

mental-and-emotional-healthOur emotions and thoughts deeply affect us because they are physically connected to our bodies through the immune, endocrine and central nervous system. All the emotions, even those that are suppressed and unexpressed, have physical consequences.

Unexpressed emotions remain in the body like little time bombs – they are diseases that will flourish in the future.

Subsequently, every emotion that you do not understand or suppress will turn into a disease. In other words, the diseases that you now have are caused by your emotions.

Harvard Study Shows Meditation Actually Builds Brain Cells

A team led by Harvard-affiliated researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital demonstrated that meditation builds brain cells and increases gray matter in the brain. The researchers used magnetic imaging (MRI), and found that meditation produced physiological changes in the brain’s gray matter.

They noticed thickening in some areas of the participants’ brains after only eight weeks of meditation. This research was published in 2011 and it was the first documented proof that meditation can cause physical changes to the brain.

This research was funded by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine of the NIH. The participants in the research spent eight weeks doing a mindfulness meditation program. During the trial, the participants listened to audio recordings of guided meditation for an average of 27 minutes a day.

Are you a “Heyoka” Empath?

An Empath is a person who has the ability to understand the emotional state of another individual.  There are many different types of Empaths and many levels of gifts and abilities.  It’s one thing to be an empath, it’s another to be a Heyoka.

For the Heyoka Empath, there is little available information and yet is the most powerful type of Empath.  Heyoka or “Sacred Clown” is a Native American term and has been loosely translated to mean “Fool or Clown”.

This translation does not give justice to the true meaning of the term.  To say, to act in a manner that is different, backward, opposite of normal, gives us a clearer understanding.

The spirit of a Heyoka is the Great Mirror.  When you connect to a Heyoka, what you see in them will show you what you need to work on to evolve spiritually.  The Heyoka’s mirror is one of emotion, for however you react to them emotionally is their guidance to reflect back to you.

15 Native American Proverbs that Will Speak To Your Soul

Imagine if these peaceful tribes we’re never raided and their land and lives never taken. The history of our world would have transpired completely differently. We would be in touch with nature, ourselves and the Earth.

We would be able to connect with animals, the stars, the flowers and each other so deeply; something so simple that has been lost through modern reality. Let us never forget the wisdom these natives shared. Let us re-create the world of cosmic, earthly and universal understanding they once knew.

“Don’t be afraid to cry. It will free your mind of sorrowful thoughts.” - Hopi

“It is better to have less thunder in the mouth and more lightning in the hand.” - Apache

Feel Like You Don’t Fit In? It is For a Reason.

Everyone who I have ever talked to or who I attract along my walk (including me), has had a period in their lives where they have felt like the odd wo-man out. Maybe that moment for you is now. You feel like the black sheep, like you are strange or bizarre. There is a loneliness that sets deep within you sometimes to where you can feel it to the core of your being. This feeling of loneliness and isolation is an indicator. Everything in the universe works like a pendulum, hence the in and out breath, the structure of DNA, the turning of our planet and even molecular particle waves. When you feel this type of sadness or loneliness, it is an inherent need for all of us on the planet to feel loved and like we have contributed in someway to the progression of consciousness and our species. When you feel alienated by the people who surround you, your root chakra, the reason you have a physical body, urges you to shift who you truly are, to fit into those surroundings.

BUT there is a reason for this feeling, it is the yin and reserved inward implosion feeling to it’s opposite ecstatic and electric expansion feeling of who you really are and what you have to bring to this planet. Do you feel like you would be able to be truly fully you with ease if you knew you would accepted?

The Science Behind Chakras

There is much controversy associated with the existence of CHAKRAS. Many consider them to be a theory with no real backbone. Some believe they are the source of our wellbeing. And others even believe they are the key to enable our spiritual connection to the Universe.

So what are the Chakras?

Chakras were first described in the Hindu Scriptures (The Vedas) thousands of years ago, and literally means wheels‘ of energy. They predominantly deal with energy flow in the body and are said to be focussed areas (or vortices) of high, expansive energy, within multiple locations in the body.

There are thought to be 114 Chakras within the body in total, but 7 main Chakras spanning from the base of the spine to the crown of the head, and are considered to follow the curvature of the spine.

Google’s AI ‘Dreams’ the Most Beautifully Surreal Images

What would computers dreams look like? This mechanical mind sees trees as temples and “pig-snails” in the sky.

The Software engineers at Google have been watching the patterns of their computer’s mind. They tested the ability of Google’s servers to recognize and recreate common images like screws, ants and leafs.

It can understand the pattern of images by locating and isolating each part of the features of the image through a layer of ‘neurons’. The layers communicate with each other, processing the image and repeating that process 10 to 30 times!
